Greek Capital Management (GCM) is billing and operations software for college fraternity and sorority chapters. This page explains which text messages GCM sends, who receives them, and how to stop them.

Who Receives Messages

Members, alumni, and parents of members of chapters that use GCM, and the national office staff who manage those chapters.

How Recipients Opt In

Adding a mobile number is optional and is never required to use GCM. A person can add their own number in their GCM profile settings, where the phone number field shows this notice:

By adding your mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from Greek Capital Management (GCM) about your account, login security codes, and your chapter’s announcements. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

A chapter officer or national office staff member can also add a number on a person's behalf, and they must have that person's permission. Parents receive balance-reminder texts when text reminders are turned on for them: by the parent in their own notification settings, where the same notice is shown, or by the member or a chapter officer. Parents with a mobile number on file may also receive chapter announcements that an officer chooses to send to parents. Anyone who enters a mobile number or turns on texts for someone else is shown this instruction:

Only add a mobile number or turn on texts with this person’s permission. GCM texts it account messages, login security codes, and chapter announcements. They can reply STOP at any time to opt out.

What We Send

One-time login security codes, sent only when the person signs in
Dues balance reminders, with a link to pay on paygcm.com
Chapter announcements (meetings, events, and deadlines) that chapter officers or national office staff send to the chapter's members, alumni, and parents. Each announcement names the sender, or GCM when no name is available.

We do not send marketing messages and do not use purchased or third-party lists. Chapter announcements are automatically screened before they are sent, and messages found to promote sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco, drugs, or gambling, or that contain profanity, are blocked.

Frequency and Cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting Out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Replying STOP stops texts from GCM's number immediately. You can also remove your mobile number from your profile at any time.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and text messaging opt-in consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
